Biographical information:
Things I've been doing lately:
I've spent 15 years living in Florida and building, mostly restaurants, all over the country. From Miami to Dover, Savannah to Las Vegas and everything in between. Travelling for work has been hard, but extreamly rewarding. It's nice to be able to go through and say "I built that, and that, and that!". Now I'm living out in Palm Springs, Ca. and trying to figure out where to settle down. (this is NOT where I want to be!)
My family:
Where do I begin... Well I have 3 kids now. The youngest two of which are twins. (a boy and a girl) They are the reason for all that I do and am nowadays.
Life experiences:
Of course my children's births are 1st and foremost. Before leaving Ga. I worked as an ironworker out at the Imperial Sugar (Dixie Crystal) plant and joined the union there. That gave me the chance to work at several nuclear facilities, including the bomb site up near Augusta, building a tritium reclamation plant, as well as putting in tank proof barriers at the power plant in Baxley. Very cool jobs, indeed.
My favorite memories of the good ole days:
Turkey-Branch Baptist Church driving on the back roads, bumping the bass in my car dancing on Savannah Rocks hanging out with my friends out on River St. at the power plant racing on Roebling Rd. swimming in Blue Springs All-State chorus and most of all marching band. Rebel Regiment Rules!!
My favorite things now:
Playing with my kids, Geocaching, bowling, working in my shop, talking on the short wave, Facebooking (Mafia Wars) and looking for new music to add to my collection.
My favorite books, movies and music:
Hmm... Let me think... From back in the day, "Labyrinth" and "A Fish Called Wanda" for movies. "The Dogs", "Peter Gabriel" and "Chicago" for a few of the old groups. (I like so many different kinds of music it's rather impossible to name favourites!) "The Book of Paradox" by Louise Cooper blew me away at ECHS. Moving towards the present "Avatar", the J.R.R. Tolkien based movies, as well as "The Green Mile" and "Forrest Gump". I've been reading more of Stephen Kings stuff recently.
I work at:
Starwood Properties, Westin Desert Willlow Villas
